In general, most projects include design, copywriting and coding, and they all have to work with each other. Remote working has several advantages over an office. Both the company and the remote employees have not only financial but also time management gains.
The advantages of this system are not limited to minimizing office expenses and all other logistics costs for companies. In this system, the time needed for commute can be applied to project hours, thus decreasing the total number of working days needed for a project to be finalized.
However, it is very important that the project is fully organized before the work can start. Doing business with a team possibly scattered all around the globe requires an organizational ability.
The benefits of remote work for employees are numerous. Flexible working hours, flexible day-offs, the time spent for the commute, not being affected by unexpected weather conditions during the winter season are some of the obvious benefits. This type of employment model, which is generally thought to be limited to working from home, gives the possibility of working from anywhere that has an internet connection. This increases the area of freedom of the employee and created more respect, attachment and motivation for the project and the company they are working for.
These are the advantages of remote employment. Disadvantages can be the difficulty to have everyone on the same time zone and keep the team on the same page due to challenging communication needs. It might be hard to keep the team spirit when no one sees each other face-to-face. However, these disadvantages can be eliminated by successful planning.
Remote employment model is truly a team work. It’s vital that everyone on the team - from the project manager to the designer, etc. – is aware of their own responsibilities. The work schedule, the project planning and the distribution of tasks are very important for a success and progression of the project. If all employees constantly remain in touch and are aware of their own responsibilities, any project would be completed successfully and everyone on the team would enjoy the process.
This system, where you can work from anywhere with a cup of coffee and an internet connection, is becoming a more and more preferred method for companies worldwide.
